Eng. Saad bin Abdulaziz AlKhalb has been the CEO of the Saudi Export-Import Bank since May 23, 2021 .
Prior to joining the bank, AlKhalb held the position of President of the General Authority for Ports (MAWANI) from June 2018 to May 2021. Before that, he served as the Vice Minister of Transport, where his main task was to lead the process of financial and administrative development and transformation .
Engineer AlKhalb has a wealth of experience in the fields of banking services, international commerce, imports and exports, and logistics services. He has over 27 years of experience in the private and public sectors inside KSA and abroad with leading global organizations in the fields of banking services, and manufacturing. his last position in the private sector was the Chief Operating Officer of the Saudi British Bank before he moved to the public sector and served as the Vice Minister of Transport from April 2017 to May 2018, and more recently as the President of the Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) where he managed 9 commercial and industrial ports in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He has a proven track record of exceptional achievements in optimizing operational and financial performance in both sectors. Under his leadership, the Saudi Ports Authority witnessed significant performance improvement proven by globally tracked indexes and became among the top five ranked globally in container handling. H.E. led a privatization operation worth more than 16 Billion SAR.
He serves in several roles and has a membership in the boards of many local and international entities such as HSBC-Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Company for Exchanging Digital Information (Tabadul). Additionally, he is a member of various committees in private and public sectors .
H.E. Alkhalb holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and has attended several advanced training programs in the fields of strategic planning, financial management, bank credit, and corporate financing .
